Before your appointment

Before your grooming appointment

A calm preparation helps Rowan understand your dog and helps your dog begin the appointment feeling more at ease.

Nothing needs to be perfect. The most helpful thing is to share honestly what you know about your dog’s coat, health and behaviour, so Rowan can tailor the visit to what is safe and comfortable.

Tell Rowan beforehand

Share what Rowan needs to know

When arranging an appointment, share your dog’s breed, age, coat type, any matting and the care you would like. Also mention whether your dog is used to a grooming salon, becomes anxious quickly or is sensitive anywhere.

  • Send clear photos of the current coat if Rowan asks for them.
  • Share medical considerations and follow veterinary advice whenever in doubt.
  • Discuss length or styling wishes, with room for honest comfort-first advice.

On the day

Arrive calmly and on time

A relaxed walk beforehand can help, as long as it does not leave your dog exhausted. Give them a chance to relieve themselves just before the appointment. Rowan will briefly review the coat and your wishes on arrival.

  • Bring your dog dry and without freshly applied coat spray or oil.
  • Bring a well-fitting collar or harness.
  • Do not expect a fixed treatment time: your dog’s pace and coat determine what is responsible.

Share breed, age, coat type, any matting, previous experiences and your wishes. Clear photos of the current coat are also helpful if Rowan asks for them.

Want to discuss your dog first?

That is very welcome. Call or WhatsApp Rowan so you can discuss what your dog needs before settling on a time.
