Mats or overdue maintenance can extend the treatment and add extra costs.

Tip · Bring your dog clean, dry and well-combed. It saves time during washing and combing.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about the price

Which hourly rate applies to my dog?

Small dogs are groomed at € 50 per hour, and medium and large dogs at € 55 per hour. Extra-large dogs are cared for by two groomers working together at € 55 per groomer, per hour (€ 110 total per hour for both). Rowan confirms the applicable rate and time estimate before the appointment.

How do I know which size category my dog is?

The size guide uses adult weight and build as an indication. Because breeds, crossbreeds and individual dogs vary, Rowan confirms the category in advance. If you are unsure, send your dog’s breed, adult weight and a recent photo by WhatsApp.

Why do extra-large dogs need two groomers?

Two groomers can lift, position, wash and dry an extra-large dog more safely and comfortably. They work side by side during the same appointment, so it is one treatment rather than twice the treatment time. The transparent total is € 110 for each hour they work together and is confirmed in advance.

When does the extra-handling rate apply?

The existing € 65 per hour rate applies when behavioural needs or a muzzle require extra handling. It replaces the standard size rate, so you do not pay both rates together. If an extra-large dog also needs extra handling, Rowan discusses the approach and estimate with you first.

How long does grooming my dog take?

Allow around 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours for a small dog, 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 30 minutes for a medium dog and 2 hours to 3 hours 30 minutes for a large dog. Rowan provides a personal estimate for an extra-large dog in advance. Doodles often head towards 3 hours. These are indications and vary from dog to dog.

Why do you charge per hour instead of a fixed price?

Every breed, coat type and temperament is different. Charging per hour means you pay for the time your dog actually needs, rather than a fixed price that may not fit. Rowan explains what to expect beforehand.

Why might the price turn out higher than expected?

Mats, a neglected coat or overdue maintenance take more time and can therefore add extra costs. Rowan always discusses this with you first, before any extra work is done.

Can I keep the cost of a grooming session low?

Yes. Bring your dog clean, dry and well-combed, and keep the coat maintained between appointments. That saves time during washing and combing and keeps the session shorter.

Can I book just a nail trim for my dog?

You can. Nail clipping costs € 15 and can be booked on its own, without a full grooming session. Call or WhatsApp Rowan to arrange a time.
